Garmin GPSMAP 67i持ちです。ちょっと意味不明に高額だったinReach（北極圏でもSOS発信、メッセージのやり取り、位置情報共有）のプラン、去年のKungsleden前後で1ヶ月使っただけで停止していてGarminはちょっと長めに歩く時のGPSデバイスとしてだけ使用していました。普段のちょっとした山行きは携帯で十分なんで。
で今年の6月に来ていたメールをよく読むと、
In September 2024, we launched new, simplified inReach plans that include no annual fee and increased messages and weather forecasts on most plan levels.
Customers with Freedom plans will be automatically migrated to the new plans on the next annual anniversary of plan activation.
Your anniversary date is 02/08/2025. On that date, you will be moved from Suspend to the new inReach Enabled Plan, which keeps your device active and includes unlimited SOS and pay-as-you-go for other features. You will not be charged an annual fee.
Once moved, you will have access to the new Suspend option, which lets you pause your service for up to 12 months at a time with no annual or monthly fee.
inReach Enabled has a monthly cost of €9.99. Customers who are migrated from Freedom Suspend will receive their first 2 months of inReach Enabled for free.

Previously the annual program fee was charged at the creation of an account and Freedom Plan subscribers could expect to have the annual program fee of $34.95 USD applied to their invoice on the yearly anniversary of the Freedom Plan activation. As of September 18th, 2024, inReach Freedom subscription plans are no longer available for new inReach activations and our current plans no longer have any annual program fee. 良い方向の変更ぽい。というわけで、ありがたく最初の2ヶ月の無料期間を使わせていただくことにします。早速、ちょっと長めの山行きが控えているので。
ところでiPhoneのGarmin Explorerアプリ、マジ嫌い。
それからアプリ上の表記での、Waypoints、Track、Route、Activity、Course、Collection。初見では意味不明。特にTrackとActivityがどう取ったらどっちになるのか端末側・携帯側での操作がいまいちよくわからないまま使っている。私、結構デジタル機器には強い方なんですが、今まで使ったどんなアプリよりもマジ意味不明。
Waypoints：ただの設定したWaypointsのはず、だが歩いている途中に勝手に作成されているように見えるものが勝手にできる。

Route：計画したルート

Activity：計画なしに取ったトラッキング？

Activities are saved in a .FIT file format which can be used for reviewing fitness related data in a Garmin Connect™ account or other platforms that read .FIT files.
Collection：ただのフォルダ？
Suuntoのアプリもなんですが、取ったあとのGPXが編集できないのもよくわからない。Suuntoの方はまだ、SuuntoPro 9でトラック取った後に止め忘れて車で走りはじめてしまうという自分のミスだから納得できるんですが、Garminの動作が意味不明。
電源を入れたまま家を出ると、トラックを開始していなくても高速を走っているルートが記録されていたり、同じ日に朝家で電源を入れて、電源を切って出発すると家とハイキング出発地点の間にジャンプした直線が引かれていたりする。GPXが編集できないからそれを消す方法がない。なぜ、意図してトラックを始める前の電源が入っただけのイベントが記録されてしまうのか意味がわからない。私が使い方間違えてるんでしょうか。教えてエライ人！
